One of the worst companies to work for. Poor management practices, direct discrimination to protected characteristics, unlawful constructive dismissals, stonewalling, bribes, slaving employees, misleading terms and conditions of employment, contract templates not signed or abide to....and much more of the worst experiences for any professional that needs to obtain many qualifications before actually being able to work at this company or other related leisure industry competitors.

I have recently decided to return to swimming to try and help with some age related health issues. It's taken a while to pluck up the courage to take this step but decided yesterday I would sign up for the Barnsley Leisure Card as I'm over 60. I went to my local Sports Centre and it took two people 20 minutes to figure out how to use the system and finally issue me a Barnsley Leisure card. I later received a Your Space email from Barnsley Metrodome to say that I could sign up to the online booking system and needed to come in to reception to receive a Your Space Card. I registered on the website and actually booked a swimming lane session for this morning thinking I could collect my card at the same time.I went to the main reception to collect my car this morning to be told that I needed to go downstairs to the reception in Your Space and they would be able to help me there. When I went to the desk downstairs the receptionist said she didn't know how to process the card. She then radioed someone who also said that they didn't know how to process the card either. The receptionist asked me to come back at 12.00pm when there would be someone who could help me!! So I could not go swimming as planned and had to leave with no card and an email address to give my feedback. Instead of being an empowering new step forward this experience has left me feeling frustrated and defeated and not wanting to return and the impression I get is you just don't care........

Long standing (over 10 years) Metrodome member here. Absolutely bizzare company. It's now so hard as a member to book on for swimming, why is the leisure pool not shown on the app you have to use the shoddy slow website where is difficult to compare times to the rest of the yourspace app.The recent changes to Rigbys opening times mean I can no longer get a soda water in the morning. Large coffees and alternative milk are no longer available despite being on the menu, I was told I had to wait until 11.30 for Rigbys to open to get these. Absolute madness. The coffee shop in the foyer is absolutely ridiculous, you now have people walking through the main entrance through the coffee shop so you've a constant draught and can't enjoy a coffee in peace. Main reception is downstairs absolutely miles from the main entrance so people are trekking all over and there's barely any signs. The new toilets haven't been cleaned since they were installed weeks ago and are full of brick dust still. It's an absolute disgrace for a large company such as this that charge premium prices. What are they thinking !
