The program recruits, trains and supports the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers who provide this advocacy. For the 2017-18 fiscal year, 50 volunteers were utilized and 108 children were served. On average, a child with a CASA spends 7.5 fewer months in foster care, has better educational outcomes, and experiences fewer placements which is good for the child and savings for the state.

The mission of yamhill county casa is to speak-up for abused and neglected children who are under the jurisdiction of the court. Our philosophy is to provide quality advocacy for victims of abuse and neglect and to seek safe permenent homes for kids.
