All compensation data comes from publicly available IRS Form 990 filings. Nonprofits with over $200,000 in revenue are required to disclose executive compensation. The "% of Revenue" column shows what percentage of the organization's total revenue goes to a single executive's pay.
High pay isn't always bad. Large organizations managing billions in programs may need experienced leadership. However, when executive compensation consumes a large share of revenue while program spending is low, donors should ask questions.
